The FRABA Group, with its four brands Posital, Ubito, Credemus and Codormo, is an international automation company with its German headquarters in Cologne. The company's history began in 1918 with the patenting of a Petri switch. It utilised NRW.Europa's expertise to find locations and services in Romania, thus benefiting from the internal market.

In order to find a new company location in Eastern Europe, the company turned to the NRW.Europa team at ZENIT. They were looking for a location that was logistically suitable and had a large repertoire of IT service providers. To this end, the team from Mülheim drew up a comprehensive market study, half of which led to the establishment of a company in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and the opening of a global development department there.

FRABA's declared aim was to employ 20 specialists as a first step. Over the next five years, the workforce is expected to grow to around 80 highly qualified employees in the fields of IT, software development, electronics development and quality management. In order to find the right personnel, ZENIT asked the Enterprise Europe Network partner in Cluj-Napoca (INSTITUTUL NATIONAL DE CERCETARE DEZVOLTARE PENTRU OPTOELECTRONICA INOE 2000) for support in the search for regional IT specialists. In order to secure the necessary skills, a personnel company specialising in the recruitment of IT specialists was involved in the process. The German company is thus taking advantage of the free movement of goods and labour in the internal market.
